How We Work

Our Process

From first call to final walkthrough, here’s exactly what to expect. No surprises, no runaround, no bait-and-switch. Just honest chimney work done right.

1

Call and Schedule Your Inspection

When you call (260) 555-0199, we ask a few basic questions about your home’s age, what type of fireplace or chimney you have, and what you’re noticing — smoke, smell, visible damage, or just time for a checkup.

We respond within 1 business day and most inspections are scheduled within one to two weeks. Fall slots fill fast, so August or September is the best time to call for pre-winter service.

What to have ready: Your home’s approximate age, whether the chimney is brick or metal/prefab, and when it was last serviced (if you know).
2

Full Chimney Inspection & Written Estimate

Our CSIA-certified technician arrives on time and inspects from the chimney cap down through the flue liner to the firebox — using a video camera inspection when interior damage is suspected.

You get a plain-language explanation of everything we find. No jargon, no scare tactics. We take photos of any issues and provide a written estimate broken down by individual task — not just a lump sum.

We’ll be honest: If your chimney is in good shape and just needs a sweep, we’ll tell you that — even if you called expecting worse.
3

Repair Work with Permit When Required

Structural and liner work goes through the City of Fort Wayne’s permit and inspection process when required by code. We handle the permit paperwork — you don’t need to visit any offices.

Most chimney repairs take one to two days. We protect your interior with drop cloths, use HEPA-filtered vacuums to contain dust and debris, clean up the work area, and walk you through exactly what was done before we leave.

You don’t need to leave: Most chimney work is done from the roof and inside near the firebox. You can stay home during the entire job.
4

Follow-Up & Maintenance Schedule

After repairs, we provide complete documentation of all work done — photos, descriptions, warranty information, and receipts. If a permit was pulled, we coordinate the city inspection and confirm sign-off with you.

We tell you when we recommend your next annual sweep and inspection, and what to watch for in the meantime. Our goal is to keep you on a simple maintenance schedule that prevents expensive surprises.

Insurance documentation: If the work is related to storm damage or another insured event, we provide everything your adjuster needs — photos, itemized receipts, and scope of work descriptions.
